Board of Directors Regular Meeting Minutes

October 11, 2007

Present:  President Ed Welch, Vice President Peter Legnos, Clerk Nancy Beckwith, Director at large Alan Ackley, Treasurer Thomas Santacroce, Chief Todd Paige, Deputy Chief Russell Shaw, Fire Marshall Michael Richards and Administrative Assistant Jamie Muhlack

 Absent:  none

  At 7:05p.m. The President announced the call to order with the time, date and place.  Roll call was taken to establish a quorum.  A moment of silence and a pledge to the flag followed.

MOTION:  It was MOVED, SECONDED and CARRIED to accept the regular meeting minutes of September 13, 2007 and passed with one abstention.  (Nancy Beckwith abstained)

 Remarks from Visitors: 

 None

Reports and Communications:

 Chief Todd Paige’s report was submitted and accepted for the record.  The report of the Fire Marshall was presented in writing for July, August and September.  Fire Marshall Michael Richards requested and was granted permission not to read his report.  No other formal reports were offered.

 Unfinished Business

 Clerk of the District, Nancy Beckwith asked if there had been a formal report from the Chief submitted for the September meeting as she had been absent.  The response was that there had been no formal report.

 New Business

 None 

Good of the Department

 A thank you note was received from Brian Kiely thanking the BOD and the Chief for his promotion to Captain.

 Presentation and payment of bills 

The Clerk announced that the bills to be paid for October approved by the President are $135,192.59\

 Executive Session

 The BOD retired to executive session at 7:23 pm.   Meeting reconvened at 7:40 pm.

 MOTION:  At 7:40 PM it was MOVED, SECONDED and CARRIED to adjourn.
