Board of Directors Special Meeting

Groton, CT 06340

November 1, 2005

Present:  President Alan Ackley, Vice President Peter Legnos, Clerk Monica Knaff,    Treasurer Tom Santacroce and Deputy Chief Russell Shaw

Absent:  Director Jeffery Vary

At 5:34 p.m. the clerk announced the call to order with the time, date and place.  The purpose of the special meeting was to review and reach a conclusion on the bids regarding the heating system for the Long Hill Fire Station. 

Deputy Chief Russell Shaw presented and critiqued the bids.  A discussion followed.

MOTION:  Peter Legnos moved, seconded by Monica Knaff to award the contract for the boiler to Burnside Plumbing and Heating to include a 10 year warranty and the circulators in the amount of $ 17,412.63, and passed unanimously. 

Peter Legnos requested that the deputy chief get prices for an outside temperature probe to be presented at the next meeting. 

MOTION: At 6:50 p.m. it was MOVED, SECONDED and CARRIED to adjourn.
