Public Education is
addressed in a number of ways at the Poquonnock Bridge Fire Department, from
formal presentations, to handouts and videos, and to daily interaction with
local residents and businesses. There are two basic aspects of Public
Education: Fire Prevention and Fire Escape.

fire department may be arranged by calling the Office of Fire Prevention

ADULT CPR & AED TRAINING

What would you do if a loved one collapsed in
front of you right now?
If you don’t know, now is your chance to
learn how to save someone’s life. The Poquonnock Bridge Fire Department is
offering an Adult CPR and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training
course, approved through the American Heart Association. The cost of this
program is only $15.00, for the required books and the certification card.
The class is limited to a size of 24
students, and the sign up form is at the check out desk at the Groton Public
Library. If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact
